Our Mission
About Us
Our partners have developed and tested Group Emotional Intelligence (GEI) theory (also known as Team Emotional Intelligence (TEI)).  GEI Partners was formed to take what we have learned and put it into practice.  Our researchers have combined with leading practitioners to provide experienced service grounded in research.

What is Group Emotional Intelligence?

Group Emotional Intelligence is embodied in a group culture that guides the behavior of every team member. Teams that develop this culture create an emotional experience for team members that leads to a sense of psychological safety, team identity, and group efficacy. These outcomes of the culture facilitate cooperation, participation, and engagement in the task, which are associated with high-performing teams.

Group Emotional Intelligence does not replace the common wisdom on building effective teams. It provides a missing link that accomplishes three things above and beyond the common wisdom:

1. GEI focuses every team member’s behavior so that all members are responsible for creating a high-performing team. Thus, the team is not dependent on a facilitator or team leader.

2. In today’s environment where time is at a premium, there is no need to take teams away from their work. GEI builds the team while they are working on their task.

3. A group’s culture is long-lasting. Once it is built, its benefits endure. Thus, GEI provides lasting results. One element of an emotionally intelligent culture is continuous improvement, thus, teams remain flexible and adaptive rather than stagnant.
We are dedicated to building high-performing teams. We provide services that are grounded in theory and have been shown, through research, to be effective.

We strive to help our clients become self-sufficient. We do this by providing services that build sustainable capabilities. Our primary concern is to ensure that our clients are significantly enhanced by engaging our services.
